This is from the RBR Archives 2014. We were thinking about Galen Rupp, a two-time Olympic medalist, silver for 10,000m in London 2012 and bronze for the marathon in Rio 2016. In Tokyo 2021, Galen took 8th in the marathon.
In the World Championships 2022 in Eugene, Galen Rupp finished 19th in the World Champs Marathon. He dropped out of the Chicago Marathon in October 2022, around 30k.

On January 16, 2014, Galen Rupp set a new AR for the 5,000 meters with his 13:01.26. On January 25, Galen broke the AR for two miles, running 8:07.41.
