Maurie Plant was a wonderfully colorful coach, advisor, agent, and broadcaster from Australia. I met Maurie in 2006 with Ian Stewart, and Maurie was a key mentor for me. Maurie had opinions, and he could annoy the living hell out of some people, but I knew where his heart was. His insider’s view on the sport he loved really helped many journalists, coaches, athletes, and officials.
Maurie Plant would love this meet and how successful it has become!
