Keira D’Amata has a PB of 2:19:12. In the Olympic Trials, Keira had a bad day at the office. She has since moved to Park City, Utah and has taken on coach Ed Eyeston, who had such success in Paris with Clayton. Young, Connor Mantz and Olympic silver medalist Kenneth Rooks. Keira told RunBlogRun that she is fit and ready to run a fast one!

Betsy Saina, who trains with Joyciline Jepkosgei, is a US citizen. At the 2024 Trials, Betsy was looking great, but dropped out at the 22-mile point.
One Month later, Betsy Saina ran a 2:19.17 PB at the 2024 Tokyo Marathon.
Sara Hall is one of our most prolific competitors. Sara has competed in seven Olympics Trials, from the steeplechase to the marathon. Her PB is 2:20:32 from the 2020 year at the Marathon Project, a special marathon in Chandler, Arizona. Sara Hall set a masters AR at the 2024 US Olympic Trials in 2:26:06!
Sara Hall is incredibly competitive and positive. Coached by her husband, Ryan Hall, who still has the fastest American marathon time at Boston. When I spoke with Sara Hall on Friday, she noted how her training is going well, and how much she loves racing!
Sara Hall also told me that she wants to race a 50k as well!
Know this, if you are within Sara Hall’s eyesight, she will probably catch you!

One of the most fascinating athletes to me is Emma Bates. Emma has run well in Chicago, and she was top American in 2024 at the Boston Marathon, as she was unable to compete in the 2024 US Olympic Trials.
In the following interview, Emma told me that she has focused on the positive. One is reminded of the quote from Freiderich Nietzche, “That which does not kill you makes you strong.”
Emma looks to me to be in PB shape (2:22:10, from Boston). Let’s see what she can do today!
Susanna Sullivan runs for Brooks Racing, in their Maverick program.
Susanna told RunBlogRun that her London 2023 race, where she set her PB of 2:24:27 was amazing.
Susanna dealt with some difficult injuries in 2024, but has come back and told RBR that she is looking forward to Chicago.

For the women to run well, The Americans will have to run their own races.
