Coffee with Larry is sponsored by JAMBAR, the Original Organic Artisan Sports Energy Bar founded in 2021 by Jenny Maxwell.
Jenny Maxwell and her late husband, Brian Maxwell, started the energy bar craze with Powerbar in 1985. They sold it in 2000, and Brian, a Canadian Olympian and Cal Berkley distance coach (top 3 Boston Marathon), passed in 2005.
Jenny spent the last two decades raising six kids, and her youngest asked her to do something fun.
So Jenny founded #JAMBAR! 34 grams of carbs, 10 grams of protein, and sweetened with Maple Syrup. The bars taste great and, are made with Organic ingredients, in small batches.
And they taste good!

3. Seb Coe announced World Athletics will provide $50k US to Olympic track and field gold medalists, the first International Federation to provide money for gold medals. Here is the release:

4. Hypocrisy abounds. The IOC says nothing. Amateurism was a program made to keep working-class athletes out of sport and cater to wealthy males. We believe this is a great move!
5. Feature on the Voice of the Marathon, Larry Rawson, by Ian Eckersley, https://www.runblogrun.com/2024/04/larry-rawson-1-man-26-2-miles-50-years-of-boston-marathon-broadcasts.html please read about the Voice of the Boston Marathon for the last 50 years1
