One of the things that I noted about Femke Bols’ training program was how her coach, Laurent Meuwly, has scheduled rest days. Rest days are key for all athletes. Some athletes take Sundays off. Some athletes have lighter workouts on Saturday and Sunday to give their bodies a break. I recall Kenny Moore taking two easy days after his 30-mile run and before his day of intervals in the Bowerman system.
