1. On his third try, Daniel Mateiko won the RAK half marathon in 58.45 against a very tough field.
2. Surprising many, Tsigi Gebrelama won the women’s RAK half marathon in 65:14. Now Tsigi will focus on the 10,000m, as she builds towards Paris 2024.
3. The RAK Half Marathon and surrounding events had 5750 registrations in the 2k, 5k, 10k, and Half Marathon.
4. The RAK is one of three global races in the United Arab Emirates.
5. The entire race was held on Al Marjan Island, starting and finishing at RIXOS Bab Al Bahr, a wonderful all-inclusive hotel with sports, sports bars, beaches, pools, and wonderful food.
6. Ras Al Khaimah wants to be a sports and adventure destination for families, young and old, from around the world.
7. This writer met many on holiday from England, Ireland, Poland, Romania, and Sweden, remarkedly all over.
