Today is Saturday, January 13, 2024.
Today is cold and snowy around much of the country.
We suggest that you run inside today, or if you do go out,
dress warmly and use shoes that have good traction on snow and ice!
Workout:
Warm-up,
20 minutes easy running, 3k or 1500m race,
20 minutes cooldown, hydrate, and get in dry clothes.
Not racing?
Warm-up,
45-55 minutes of easy, safe running,
Cooldown.
Larry’s Deep Thoughts: Winter can be fun, keep the focus on good footwear for cold and snow and dressing layers. If you want a tough workout today, run in snow (six to eight inches) for two minutes hard, then go to snow cleared for recovery, jog easy 3 minutes, repeat 5 times, and warm up well (30 minutes) and cool down 30 minutes.
