JACKSONVILLE (USA): Olympic winner Marcell Jacobs started his training for 2024 in the group with his new coach Rana Raider. In the first interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport after coming to Jacksonville, he confirmed that all was ok, he was the last of the group to arrive, so his training loads are not that high. Jacobs is happy as he is injury-free. He is impressed by the location, available gyms, and new training tools. His wife arrives in November to look for an apartment, and the kids will arrive in December.
He is not concentrating on indoors, maybe he will include the US meets and potentially Glasgow to defend the World Indoor title. In the group that trains at Hodges Stadium at the University of North Florida also Trayvon Bromell, Andre De Grasse, Hakim Sani Brown, Jerome Blake, Trevor Stewart, long jumper Yuki Hashioka, Shania Collins, and Nia Ali. From La Gazzetta dello Sport.
