This is your workout for Wednesday, October 25, 2023.
This is a Recovery Day for Week 8!
Recovery days give your body the break it needs to gain benefits from the stress of the day of hard training.
Your workout today: Warm up well, 45-55 minutes of easy to moderate running, and then 6 x 150m stride outs, followed by a cooldown.
In 1979-1980 and 1981, I trained at West Valley Community College under the watchful eyes of Dan Cruz and Bill Campbell. The team at West Valley embraced us, and we had a blast.
I trained with Tom Dorst, Chris Amaral, and Rick Riordan. Paul Gyorey and I would go there on hard days but trained on our own on the easy days, as we were afraid that we would run way too hard on what was supposed to be an easy day.
Remember, keep easy days really easy!
