1. Talk about a “Clash of the Titans”, the Allianz Memorial Van Damme has Sydney McLaughlin Levrone and Femke Bol battling over the 400m hurdles for the first time since the World Champs in Eugene.
2. The Van Damme is one of my favorite meets, held in King Badouin stadium near Brussels; the Memorial Van Damme is held in honor of 1976 Olympic Montreal double silver medalist (800m/1500m) Ivo Van Damme, who was killed in an auto accident in Dec. 1976.
