#TomasMajewski, Polish Fed VP, two-time Olympic champion in the shot put, who is building track & field in track-crazy Poland. I met Tomas in 2007, I believe, as we were heading to FBK Hengelo. I was wearing a suit. He was in a Grateful Dead t-shirt. Now, Tomas does the suit motif, building the sport. A class act.
6. Jim Thorpe won the 3-day decathlon in 1912 on this day.
7. In 2022, #JimThorpe was made the SOLE Olympic Champion in the 1912 Olympic Decathlon and pentathlon.
8. Also competing in the pentathlon was George S. Patton, Jr., who became General George Patton.
