The Canadian 4x100m team will be a huge challenge this summer in Budapest! Andre DeGrasse, Aaron Brown, Jerome Blake, and Brendon Rodney got back together and ran a world-leading time for the 4 x 100 meters at the Florida Relay! Andre DeGrasse is in Florida, training under a new coach.
GAINESVILLE (USA): Canada’s 4×100-meter men’s relay team thrilled Canadians and shocked Americans last summer by winning World gold in Eugene. That team of Andre De Grasse, Aaron Brown, Jerome Blake, and Brendon Rodney is together again, and at the Florida Relays, last Saturday, clocked World leading 37.80. De Grasse, Brown, and Rodney have been running relays together since 2015, and Blake joined the group in 2019. De Grasse, Canada’s individual star, values the team event and makes the time to attend training camps and relay competitions outside of the major events. “It’s a gift in the sense that we get to build chemistry and stay together and build that camaraderie,” Brown said. Via Toronto Star from March 31.
