This is Monday, April 10, 2023.
It is a recovery for the day one of Week 5 in our Spring training program.
Recovery days are key to your development; we schedule them on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Our suggested workout today:
Warm-up includes 10 pull-ups, 10 sit-ups, and 10 push-ups, then 35-50 minutes of easy running and a slow cool-down.
I recall the easy days that Paul Gyorey and I would do. Sometimes it was an am run before class and an afternoon run. The idea was to keep our
mileage up during the build-up but also keep the miles relaxed. We learned that hard days were focused, not over doing it, but easy days were really
a challenge to work on. When we mastered the hard day, and easy days, we started racing better.
