This is Friday, February 17, 2023.
A busy day in our sport.
The USATF Indoors is going on in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and World Cross Country is going in Bathhurst, Australia.
It is day five, Week Seven of the 2023 RunBlogRun Winter Training Block.
Your workout today is warm-up slowly and well, 50-55 minutes, modest pace, keeping conversation during the run, cooldown slowly, and
relaxing a bit.
We will finish with a quick story about our friend, Anna Hall, who just set the AR for the pentathlon, that’s the 60 m hurdles, high jump, shot put, and long jump, and finished with an 800 meters, all in a few hours. Anna finished her 800m in 2:05.70, just missing the WR by nine points! Oh, and she competes in altitude, which means less oxygen for you to breathe! That 2:05.70 is just faster than my 800m PB without four events ahead, what a performance! You can watch the USATF Indoors on Saturday on NBC TV from 4-6 PM Eastern!
