Matheson (14.56.6) on winning the Champs Nationals XC.
2. Thankful that David Rudisha and his five friends escaped major injuries from a small plane crash in Kenya.
3. Congrats to Madison Michelle-Peters (17.50) and Isreal Pena (15.49), who won the Junior Olympics cross country this past weekend!
4. At the Kalakaua Mile, Neil Gourley (3.56.1) and Katie Snowden (4:27.3), won the road miles. Gourley and Snowden compete for Under Armour.
5. Also at the Kalakaua Mile, Matt Centrowitz, 2016 Olympic champion at 1,500m, raced for the first time in 13 months, after an ACL surgery last year and took ninth in 4.03.6.
6. Jakob Ingebrigtsen and Karoline Grovedal defended their Senior titles at the SPAR Europen Athletics Champs on Sunday, December 11, 2022.
7. France took gold in senior men’s, Germany took team women’s, GB took U23 Mens team, and U23 women, GB took U20 Men, Spain took women’s U20 at the SPAR European Athletics XC Champs in Turn, Italy on Sunday.
8. Charlie Hicks, NCAA champ, won U23 men, and Nadia Battocletti won U23 women, and Will Barnicoat won u20 Men and Maria Forero won U20 women at SPAR EA XC Champs!

Larry Eder has had a 52-year involvement in the sport of athletics. Larry has experienced the sport as an athlete, coach, magazine publisher, and now, journalist and blogger. His first article, on Don Bowden, America's first sub-4 minute miler, was published in RW in 1983. Larry has published several magazines on athletics, from American Athletics to the U.S. version of Spikes magazine. He currently manages the content and marketing development of the RunningNetwork, The Shoe Addicts, and RunBlogRun. Of RunBlogRun, his daily pilgrimage with the sport, Larry says: "I have to admit, I love traveling to far away meets, writing about the sport I love, and the athletes I respect, for my readers at runblogrun.com, the most of anything I have ever done, except, maybe running itself."
