This is day six of the first week of recovery, Saturday, December 17, 2022.
We encourage three weeks of recovery after the season. Many of our readers have decided to finish the season with either an indoor race or a fast road race in good weather.
We all like PBs, but please remember that ending the season and taking a break is key to your spring and summer success.
If you race this weekend, warm up slowly and race in flats. Track spikes are equipment, and you should at least walk around the house, without elements for a few days and do some stride-outs for a few days before you race.
Right now, you are in great shape for a 3,000m, two miles, or 5,000m on the track.
Cooldown well.
If you choose NOT to race, then warm up, and then, run for 40 minutes on the trails
