Today is a tempo day.
Tempo Runs help athletes with the mid part of the race, where endurance and strength come in.
Tempo Runs are 20 minutes long in our plans, and the pace is 20 seconds per mile over the mile pace in a current 5k race.
Your workout today is a slow warm-up, 30 minutes moderate run, then move to the track, a 20-minute Tempo Run, with a fifteen-minute moderate run, then a slow and complete cooldown.
