This is week thirteen, day one of the 2022 RunBlogRun Fall cross country Training & Racing Program.
Today is a recovery day.
Recovery days are meant to allow your body and soul to recover from a session that can be hard physically and mentally. Long runs with a race the day before can take you to the edge. So, on Mondays, we keep it relaxed.
Your workout today is a good warm up, 45-55 minutes of moderate-paced running around a soccer pitch or through a park. Find a good flat section afterward, and run six strikeouts at 150-200 meters, jogging back to the next stride out. Then, complete a good cooldown.
