This is the workout for Thursday, October 6, 2022. This is Week Six, Day 4 of the 2022 RunBlogRun Fall Cross Country Training & Racing Program.
The cross-country season is in full swing. League meets, Conference meets, and Regional meets are all on the horizon as 560,000 runners around the country get into racing shape. Normally it takes 3-5 races for most athletes to get truly racing fit.

Focus on warm-up; if you need a long one, do it. If you prefer a short one, do that. During the racing, take one athlete at a time to pass, do it with purpose and go after the next.
Today’s workout is warm up, 30 minutes moderate run, then 8 times 250 m hills, charge up hills, jog or walk down, 15 minutes moderate running, 6 x 150m stride outs, gentle cooldown.
