This is your workout for Tuesday, October 25, 2022.
Today’s workout is a tempo run.

We keep our tempo runs pretty simple. To find a flat surface, we suggest a track. Use your performance watch, like a COROS, and run for 20 minutes. Your pace is even, running 20 seconds SLOWER than your current average mile pace for a 5k. So, if you are racing 5k at 5:30 a mile, then your Tempo run is 5:50 pace for the 20 minutes. It will be challenging, but you should finish winded.
Your workout today, warm up slowly, 30 minute moderate pace, then, head to the track and run 20 minutes at 20 second per mile pace SLOWER than current mile pace in 5k. Take fifteen minutes of moderate to slow running to finish. Cooldown.
