Today is a day of recovery.
I learned, in my college training, that it was the attitude as well as pace on recovery days that was my training partner, Paul’s secret. We would not run with the guys we trained with on fast days on easy days. We kept it relaxed, even with two runs a day. We were running 80-100 miles a week during our junior years, racing 5k or 10k every weekend for 8-10 weeks.
We ran PBs almost every weekend, whether on the track or roads, and we ran the same courses many times. The recovery days meant a lot.
Your workout for today is warm-up, a 55-minute run, moderate pace, 6 x 150 meters, strideouts, and Cooldown.
