Today is September 18, 2022. It is a long run day and the seventh day of the week three of our 2022 Fall Cross Country Training & Racing program.

Our photo today is of Nikki Hiltz. Nikki went to Aptos High and then, the University of Arkansas. They just took second at the NB Fifth Avenue Mile last weekend, after winning two big mile races late in the season. Check out Nikki on Instagram, they have some very thoughtful comments on modern life, love and training. Nikki runs for Lululemon.
The long run is a key to our weekly training program. For high schoolers, we had you build up from 50 to 75 minutes over the summer. Keep it at a talking pace and enjoy the run with some friends and a fun trail or park.
Today’s workout, warmup, 60-75 minutes, depending on how you feel after the race from yesterday, and then, cooldown.
