Eliud Kipchoge is a two-time gold medalist in the Olympic marathon. Many wonder if he will go for a third Olympic title, in Paris 2024. Eliud began his running as a cross-country runner. At the age of 18, Eliud took the gold medal at 5,000 meters against Hicham El Guerrouj and Kenenisa Bekele, two of the top runners of their eras. Kipchoge won, much to the surprise of many in the stadium. Now 19 years later, the G.O.A.T. is preparing for the 2022 BMW Berlin Marathon in ten days. Eliud told me in 2016 that cross country helped make him the runner he is now. Remember that!
Your workout for today, Thursday, September 15, 2022, is warm up, 30-45 minutes of moderate running at the beginning, then, 15 minutes of strong pace, then, ten minutes of moderate pace. 6-8 times 250 tough hill, jog or walk down, repeat, then, cool down.
