There are thirty-one defending champions, and among them is a Norwegian named Jakob Ingebrigtsen. In 2018, in Berlin, Germany, Jakob won the 5,000 meters and the 1,500 meters. Jakob just took silver in a close fought 1,500 meters in Eugene at the World Champs and came back to win the 5,000 meters.

For your workout today, August 13, 2022, is warm up, then a 5k race, hilly or an all-comers meet with a 3000m, or two miles, then cooldown.
If you do not have a race, try this one: warm-up, 12.5 laps on the track, run 200m at race pace, current for 5k, so if you are running six-minute 5k pace, that is 45 seconds, then jog easy, and repeat until you finish 12.5 laps, then cool down.
Always hydrate, and eat some good veggies today, like Cauliflower, broccoli, asparagus, and tomatoes (technically, tomatoes are fruit, but get over it).
