Socialing The Distance with Larry Eder
Featuring Chase Ealey,
USA Indoor & Outdoor Champion – Shot Put
Originally posted March 2021, Reposted July 17, 2022
On July 17, 2022, Chase Ealey took the lead in the Women’s shot put, with an opening throw of 20.49m and challenged the world to catch up with her. Lijao Gong of China, the defending champion, came within ten centimeters, but that was good for silver. Jessica Schilder of the Netherlands was the bronze medalist.
We wanted to share this interview from March 2021 with you. We spent 40 minutes with Chase via zoom, and we learned a lot about the amazing thrower. This interview was arranged by her late manager, Andy Stubb, who passed away in June 2021.
Andy would be proud of Chase Ealey and her amazing composure in the championships and taking the gold.
We congratulate Chase and thank her for her thoughtfulness.
A special thanks to Andy Stubbs & Stubbs Management for setting up this interview.
