The Nafi Thiam Interview,
by EURO Radio
updated thanks to note by Jim Jennings, JJK global fan club
Nafi Thiam just took gold at the 2022 World Athletics Championships in the heptathlon.
Nafi is a two-time Olympic gold medalist in Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020.
At the World Championships, Nafi Thiam has golds in London and Eugene, (2017 and 2022), and silver in Doha 2019.
At the Europeans, the tall Belgian superstar has taken gold in Berlin 2018 and bronze in Zurich 2014.
At the European Indoors, Nafi Thiam took gold in Torun 2021 and Belgrade 2017. She also took silver in Prague in 2015.
Nafi Thiam is one of the finest heptathletes in history. Can she break the world record? That is a tall order, considering that GOAT JJK owns that WR.
Nafi Thiam has a PB of 7,013 points, the number 8 score ever. Her score in Eugene is number 18.
Indoors, Nafi Thiam has a PB of 4,904 in the pentathlon indoors, the number 7 score ever.
Where will she compete next?
My good friend and track buddy reminded me:
“Jackie Joyner-Kersee is the GOAT; no one comes near! “
Thanks, Jim!
