Karissa Schweizer is a phenomenal athlete. She is a member of the Bowerman Track Club. On May 27, 2022, she battled Alicia Monson for the 10,000m title at the USATF Champs.
Alicia Monson pushed the pace from the 5,000m on, breaking the Schweizer and her away from the crowd. Monson pushed the pace and it was her and Schweizer with a lap to go. Monson did not give up and Karissa had to use all of her speed and strength to win the women’s 10,000m title.
In Tokyo last year, Karissa Schweizer and Alicia Monson were on the 10,000m team with Emily Sisson.
In Eugene, for the World Champs, the team on the Women’s 10,000m will be Karissa Schweizer, Alicia Monson, and Natosha Rogers.
For the workout today, June 23, 2022, warm-up, run 30 minutes, and cooldown.
