I will make an admission here. I have always wanted to interview Andre De Grasse. I like his attitude. I love his tenacity and his racy savvy is, well, unquestionable. Andre De Grasse got his gold in Tokyo, and he did it with style in the heat of Tokyo.
How will Andre de Grasse fare in 2022? He has two championships, if he chooses, the Worlds and Commonwealths.
Well, we can watch him next weekend in Doha!
DOHA (QAT): Olympic winner Andre De Grasse should be the headliner of Doha Diamond League 200 m on May 13. “Winning gold in Tokyo has given me confidence that I can deliver another championship-winning performance this summer, and I’m looking forward to kicking off my season in Doha as I build towards that goal in Eugene,” he said for the organisers. His main rival should be World champion Noah Lyles and third top name will be Fred Kerley. Canadians Aaron Brown and Jerome Blake along with World Indoor champion at 400 m Jereem Richards Italian Filippo Tortu and home Femi Ogunode are rounding the field. Informs Gulf Times.
