MADRID (ESP): The final World Indoor Tour Gold meet of the 2022 season in Madrid on Wednesday will have strong men 3000 m with Ethiopians, Olympic winner Selemon Barega and Lamecha Girma. Also in the race top Spanish duo, European record holder Adel Mechaal and Mohamed Katir. In the 800 m British champion Elliot Giles is facing Swedish champion Andreas Kramer and World leader Mariano Garcia with last weekend national winner Alvaro de Arriba. Kenyans will be represented by Collins Kipruto and Michael Saruni. In the women 1500 m Gudaf Tsegay is thinking about another fast time and in the 800 m Australian record holder Catriona Bisset as main name.
AARHUS (DEN): International indoor meet in Denmark on Wednesday. First edition of Sprint´n´Jump in Aarhus will be part of WIT Challenger. Women triple jump will have Slovenian Belgrade bound Neja Filipic and Portugal´s Susana Costa with national record holder Janne Nielsen. Mette Graversgaard will be the 60 m hurdles favorite against Slovak Stanislava Skvarkova. National record holder Ida Karstoft will have top opposition in women 60 m in Jamaican Shashalee Forbes (outdoor 60 m 7.16) and German Amelie-Sophie Lederer, Norway´s Helene Ronningen and Slovak Monika Weigertova. Estonian champion Karl Erik Nazarov will be the men 60 m favorite together with fresh Danish champion Emil Mader Kjaer and Finnish Samuli Samuelsson. Sebastian Pedersen and Henrik Flatnes from Norway are the top names for men´s long jump.
OSIJEK (CRO): The fifth edition of Pole Vault Josip Gasparac Memorial in Croatian Osijek will have for first time solid international participation this Wednesday. Croatian champion Ivan Horvat and Slovenian number one Robert Renner will face Austrian champion Riccardo Klotz and Hungarian national winner Marcell Nagy. From France Mathieu Collet and Romain Gavillon, also Dutch Rutger Koppelaar with 580 PB. Chinese vaulters will come from their training base in Italy, Asian championships medalist Huang Bokai with 575 PB and Chen Wen with 561 last year. But most probably the main favorite will be Australian Kurtis Marschall with indoor PB 587 and good memories on Croatia. At last years Zagreb meeting he cleared 582 outdoor PB.
