Sifan Hassan, representing the Netherlands, will compete in the 1,500m, 5,000m, and 10,000m. She already won her heat in the 5000m. Now, she has heats of the 1,500m, then, a 5000m final and a 1,500m and a 10,000m final.
This will be something to watch!

Sifan Hassan to attempt an Olympic triple
Sifan Hassan has decided to include the 1,500m in her campaign for Olympic glory. The 2019 World Champion, who doubled and won both the 1,500m and 10,000m will showcase her range again at the Tokyo Olympic Games.
Sifan Hassan: “For me it is crucial to follow my heart. Doing that is far more important than gold medals. That keeps me motivated and it keeps me enjoying this beautiful sport.”
After comfortably getting through the first round of the 5,000m semi-final, Hassan will begin going through the rounds of the 1,500m, Monday, August 2. She looks forward to tackling the enormous feat and wants to challenge herself in her favorite distances.
