Featuring Elle Purrier St. Pierre,
2021 Olympic Trials Women’s 1,500m champion

Elle Purrier first impressed me in 2019 in the New Balance Indoor 2 mile, when she took control with about 400m to go from Emma Coburn and just blew the field away. Her Doha 2019 put her on the shortlist. Her Millrose win, in the 4:16 in 2020 showed that she was a most talented athlete.
This interview was done just before the Olympic Trials and Elle Purrier shows that she was ready. Her gutty 1, 500m in Eugene, leading her teammates to victory, showed this writer that Elle Purrier is an Olympic spoiler. Elle Purrier could win an Olympic medal, and that is the highest compliment I can give in this game of high stakes Olympic sports.
