I totally enjoyed my visit to Toruń, Poland in 2019. The home of Nicolas Copernicus has this romantic, historical middle Age feel, plus a celebration of modern Poland.
Most recently, Toruń hosted the 36th European Indoor Athletics Championships, which was a huge success, even in the time of a pandemic.
I would most heartily applaud Toruń as host to a future World Athletics indoor Champs.

TORUN (POL): Polish City Torun said they will consider a bid for World Indoor Championships in future. It was confirmed by Mayor Michal Zaleski. In Polish TV the European Indoor Championships this month were a big success with 7.5 million viewers, an increase by 34 percent. The organization of the Torun 2021 European Indoor Championships was co-financed by the Ministry of Culture, National Heritage and Sport, the city of Toruń and the local government of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Regional Government. World Athletics last weekend informed about opening bids for World Indoors in 2024 and 2026. In 2022 the event will be held in Belgrade and in 2023 the postponed championships planned for Nanjing.
