BOX HILL (AUS, Mar 2): Excellent 5000 m by Stewart McSweyn in 13:05.87 World lead and Olympic qualifier at the meet here. It is also fastest time in Australia since 2006 Commonwealth Games as David Tarbotton informs on his twitter. Second Matt Ramsden 13:19.52 ahead of Brett Robinson 13:23.69 with Ryan Gregson 13:33.46. In women race Izzi Batt-Doyle 15:11.07, World lead and personal best by 15 seconds. Also World leads in 1000 m races, Peter Bol 2:18.79 debut (over Brad Mathas from New Zealand 2:18.97 big PB) and Linden Hall 2:35.90 Oceanian record in debut over Claudia Hollingsworth (15) 2:36.72 All-time U18 best and Catriona Bissett 2:38.42 with Keely Small 2:38.46.
