Jarrett Eaton won the 60m hurdles in 7.54. Aaron Mallett won the B race in 7.64 – exactly the same as his Berlin time.

METZ (FRA, Feb 6): European U20 400m hurdles champion Femke Bol lowered her Dutch indoor 400m record and world lead to 50.81 and MR (since improved by Athing Mu with 50.52) at the Metz Moselle Athlelor meeting (WIT Silver). Bol was the fastest across the three races with training partner Lieke Klaver the second fastest with 51.73 before improving her Dutch indoor 200m record to 23.10 (also MR). Ethiopia’s Selemon Barega also set a world lead and meet record in the 1500m with 3:34.62 to defeat Kenya’s Bethwell Birgen (3:34.67) with Brit Elliot Giles third in a big lifetime best of 3:37.61 and distant fourth Marcin Lewandowski 3:39.06. France’s Wilhem Belocian ran a fast 7.45 EL/MR in the 60m hurdles heats, after that he collided in the finals which was won by Jarret Eaton in 7.54. There was also a US double in the 60m with Devin Quinn winning the men’s 60m in 6.54 PB (over Mike Rodgers 6.59) and Javianne Oliver winning the women’s 60m in a fast 7.10 ahead of Switzerland’s Ajla Del Ponte who set a 7.14 PB. Also on the track, Slovakia’s Jan Volko won the 200m in a national record of 20.99, Belgium’s Elliot Crestan won the 800m in 1:46.40 NR/MR and Ireland’s Sean Tobin won the 3000m in 7:48.01 from Belgium’s Robin Hendrix in 7:48.53, PB´s for both. Ethiopia’s Habitam Alemu easily won the women’s 800m in 2:00.85 MR and Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan won the 60m hurdles in 8.00. There were Cuban wins in the horizontal jumps with Maykel Masso beating Miltiadis Tentoglou on countback at 8.02m and Andy Diaz winning the triple jump with 17.06m. Thomas Jordier topped men 400 m in 46.77.
