FAYETTEVILLE (USA): For American Track League indoor meets in Fayetteville also confirmed is hurdles World champion Grant Holloway. “As a collegiate athlete we competed week in and week out on US soil. As a Pro we are usually crossing oceans to compete. To have these American Track League events to compete at is a blessing. I’m looking forward to competing on US soil for an ESPN crowd as we make our journey to the Olympic Games,” he said. 800 m Olympic medalist Clayton Murphy is also confirmed: “Our sport has been relatively dormant for the past year, and I am really itching to compete! Without competition, we lose our sense of purpose as athletes. There were quite a few competitions that were held in some capacity in 2020, but most of the American athletes were unable to compete. I’m excited to have options on American soil this year.” Sprinter Trayvon Bromell hopes for fast races after previous injury years: “For me 2020 was a perfect comeback year. I ran sub 10 seconds again multiple times after a couple years of injury. Now I’m feeling better than ever and looking forward to competing again.”
