Altitude chambers can help athletes build endurance and strength. Some consider it more than a training aid. The brothers Ingebrigtsen could train at home with an Altiitude chambers. Gjert, their dad and coach, knows how to train his sons, due to many reasons. Gjert has years observing what works and does not work. Gjert is a keen observer, a huge skill that any successful coach possesses.

OSLO (NOR): Gjert Ingebrigtsen has said Jakob, Filip and Henrik would have remained training at home if the use of altitude chambers was allowed in Norway, informs NRK. The Ingebrigtsens are currently training at high altitude in Sierra Nevada, Spain. “I would not have sent the boys there now if we could have used high tents at home. It is a risk we do not really want to take, but we have no choice if we are to assert ourselves in the Olympics. There we meet athletes who live half the year at altitude and who also supplement with altitude tents in the bedroom when they are not at altitude,” he said.
