I know that the marathons have challenges, but this is a total cluster#ck and will have ramications in the uture. It is tough in a good year, as the Wanda World Marathon Majors compete with each other, but why does Boston go on Chicago’s weekend? Makes no sense.
We know there are many questions about the 2021 race, including how the date was selected, registration information, field size & the virtual race option. Visit the 2021 Boston Marathon FAQ page for a regularly updated list of answers: https://t.co/qHqVqgxsGt

Boston and Chicago to clash
NEW YORK (USA): The Boston and Chicago Marathons, two of the three American events of the Abbott World Marathon Majors, are planned for back-to-back days in 2021, organizers confirmed. Boston, the world’s oldest marathon which is normally held on the third Monday of April, is now slotted for Monday, October 11, the Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) reported today. Details including field size for the in-person race, registration dates, safety measures and protocols, and participant requirements that will be in place will be forthcoming.https://t.co/wUxt55EzAy
