Jubilee edition of Golden Spike
OSTRAVA (CZE): Ostrava Golden Spike meeting director and javelin World record holder Jan Zelezny in relation to WACT Gold calendar 2021 publication said: “Im really looking forward to jubilee 60thn edition of Golden Spike, it will be on May 19 the first bigger meet in Europe in the summer season 2021. We are happy and proud to be part of WA Continental Tour Gold series also next year. Our event will be prepared as one of the top possibilities to achieve Olympic standards or valuable World Ranking points for Czech elite and all other international athletes. This year despite the difficulties we were able to stage one of the best meetings on the circuit and ended in top 3 in the scoring. Im sure that despite the early date top athletes will be already in shape specially due to the Olympic qualification. So Im not worried about the possible quality. But of course we only can hope that also the situation with pandemic and restrictions will be in decline by May next year.”
