Jos Hermans defended the wave light tech that NN running team used in meetings….
NIJMEGEN (NED): Dutch agent Jos Hermens has defended the use of wave-light technology which was used in Valencia earlier this month when Joshua Cheptegei and Letesenbet Gidey, both of whom are managed by Global Sports Communication, set world records, informs the Indian Express. “Athletics is not the most popular sport, so we need innovations. Young and old people need to understand the sport. Now people watching a race can see if runners are ahead of a light or not. It is more for the crowds and television…the athletes have to still run themselves; the track is not moving, you have to do all the hard training year after year to break a record,” he said.
