The London Marathon was an exciting event in 2020. While most thought Eliud Kipchoge would be the obvious winner, but it was not to be. Eliud Kipchoge ended up finishing 8th in 2:06.49.
Eliud Kipchoge is a champion. He has taught us how to behave when one wins and one looses.
KAPTAGAT (KEN): Speaking after his surprise loss in the London Marathon, Kenya’s Eliud Kipchoge said: “I will take time to recover from the London Marathon loss. I’m healing, I want to move on and focus on the future…if you despair, you lose what you have built over many years and miss future opportunities to come back stronger and better. If you train harder and build strength, you go to the track and run another race and rely on the strength you have built to propel you to another victory.” From the Daily Nation.
Marathon is life, and life is full of challenges. I want to thank everybody for the many well wishes, it is a great support to me. We look ahead and together we build towards an even greater future, in which we hope to inspire as many human beings as possible. (1/2) pic.twitter.com/XHcMGyef78
