The 2020 VM London Marathon was a huge success in a dystopic year.
In a shitshow year, the London Marathon team put together and amazing event, even in bad weather. The men’s event and the women’s events were fabulous, and I loved that we could watch the events, one by one.
In this bit, Shure Kitata’s win was insured, in his mind, by his early morning meal…

LONDON (GBR): A proper breakfast helped Shure Kitata win the Virgin Money London Marathon yesterday, the Ethiopian declared. Kitata, who was fourth last year, said: “Last year I had very little breakfast and couldn’t speed up at the end This year I had porridge, banana, bread. I learned a lot from last year and it gave me a chance in the race this time.”
What a race, one second in it…😱
