The Doha Diamond League meet will be held on 25 September. It will be the last Diamond League meeting in 2020, the absolutely strangest athletic season in recent memory. The ironic thing is that Doha is normally the opening Diamond League meeting each season, and in 2020, it ends the season.
Obiri vs Chepkoech
DOHA (QAT): Entry-lists for the Doha Diamond League on 25 September have been released. The programme concludes with the women’s 3000m which features world champions Hellen Obiri (5000m) and Beatrice Chepkoech (3000m steeplechase). Faith Kipyegon and Timothy Cheruiyot both step down in distance to contest the 800m and world 3000m steeplechase champion Conseslus Kipruto makes his season’s debut in the 1500m. Other star names in action include Armand Duplantis in the pole vault and Elaine Thompson-Herah in the 100m. “In spite of incredibly challenging circumstances, I’m proud of the fantastic fields we’ve put together for this event,” said Khalid Al Marri, Wanda Doha Diamond League meeting director.
