Femke Bol 53.79 WL at 400 m hurdles
PAPENDAL (NED, Jul 18): The sensational improvements of Dutch hurdles talent Femke Bol are continuing. At the open meet here she improved the national record to 53.79 WL. It is also fourth best mark in the European U23 history. Second German Jackie Bauman after fast first half also clocked life-time best 55.53. New generation of runners showed their improvements. Jochem Dobber 46.21 in the 400 m, Jurgen Wielart 1:47.69 in the 800 m, Belgian Tim van de Velde 3:40.61 in the 1500 m and on the women side Bregje Sloot 2:02.51 in the 800 m and Diane Van Es 4:12.99 in the 1500 m. Also to note in sprints Joris van Gool beat Churandy Martina in the 100 m, 10.29 (+0.1) to 10.36, Taymir Burnet achieved 20.76 (+1.2) in the 200 m. Koen Smet 13.81 (-0.6) hurdles and Nick Smidt 50.36 at 400 m hurdles over Ramsey Angela 50.41. Naomi Sedney won the 100 m in 11.38 (-0.8) over Marije van Hunenstijn 11.44 who topped the 200 m with 22.91 (+0.8) PB beating Swiss Ajla Del Ponte 23.02 PB (her 22.83 from Bulle was wind-aided +2.1) and Lieke Klaver 23.12 PB. Hurdler Nadine Visser improved to 23.38 (+0.4) in other race and also won her specialty in 12.95 (-0.3). U20 hurdler Zoe Sedney bettered her PB in heats to 13.29 (+0.4) and Femke Pluim cleared 435 in the pole vault.
