OSLO (NOR): Armand Duplantis admitted he found it “a little harder to get started” at the Impossible Games in Oslo last night due to the lack of audience, informs SVT. “It is still difficult to understand what is happening right now. After all, it was basically just my mom at the stands, and it felt almost a bit ghostly on the arena. So that made it a little harder to get into the competition feeling. It’s just mental, but it was a little harder to get started as you normally get energy from the audience,” he said. On his 5.86m clearance, he said: “It is okay. I know I’m not in my best shape because of the lack of training from the last two months. It was nice to get out and get some rust. It’s not the best result ever, but I didn’t expect anything crazy today.”
