OSLO (NOR): Karsten Warholm will attack the world 300m hurdles all-time best of 34.48 in his wish-lane 7 at Bislett Stadium. Running alone his race will be one of the highlights of the reformatted Diamond League, the first able to be staged in this coronavirus-hit season. “I like the pressure, so I said I want to attack that record. We development some speed recently last month in training, but Im nervous with not knowing what to expect,” said Warholm. In women 300 m hurdles European champion Lea Sprunger will try 13 strides as first woman and compete against 2016 European champion Sara Slott Petersen and Norwegian record holder Amalie Iuel. Here the World best is 38.16 by Czech Zuzana Hejnova from 2013. In the 200 m hurdles a duel Finland vs Norway will be staged with Annimari Korte and Nooralotte Neziri against Isabella Pedersen and Line Kloster. They hope to break the national best marks, but the global mark 25.20 by World champion Dalilah Muhammad would be too tough, European best is 25.79 by Swiss Noemi Zbaren in 2014.
