DUSSELDORF (GER): Top class athletics will return to Germany on 12 June with the PSD Bank Flight Night in DÃ¼sseldorf, informs Leichtathletik.de. The event will take place in compliance with the applicable safety and sanitary requirements and will reportedly be “Germany’s first professional spectator event in sports since the outbreak of the corona pandemic.” A pole vaulting facility will be set up in a drive-in cinema in DÃ¼sseldorf with spectators viewing from the safety of their cars. Raphael Holzdeppe, Torben Blech and world fourth-placer Bo Kanda Lita Baehre are all confirmed for the event. “Finally! I am very much looking forward to the first showdown after the lockdown. The competitive atmosphere, the great atmosphere for which the DÃ¼sseldorf audience is known – I am sure that this event will also be a real highlight due to the special location. I don’t think a pole vaulter ever jumped in a drive-in cinema,” said Lita Baehre.
