Lowe motivated for 5th Olympic team
ORLANDO (USA): After undergoing a double mastectomy and five months of chemotherapy, US high jumper Chaunte Lowe is motivated to make her fifth US Olympic team in Tokyo next summer, informs Reuters. “Surprisingly, I feel great. I’m to the point where I’m running times that I haven’t run in years. I’m able to lift weights that I haven’t lifted in a long time. I’m starting to feel like myself,” she said. Lowe also said she has benefitted by the postponement of the Tokyo Olympics until 2021. “There’s no doubt about it. But then at the same time you have to stay focused that much longer,” she said.
