Jan Lusis is a 3 time Olympic medalist n the javelin. In 1964, Lusis took the bronze. In 1968, he took the gold and the 1972 Munich Olympics, the Latvian star took the silver medal.

RIGA (LAT): Latvian Olympic javelin champion Janis Lusis has died at the age of 80 from cancer, the country’s athletics federation said Wednesday. Lusis won gold at the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City, four years after earning bronze at the 1964 Games in Tokyo. He claimed a silver medal in Munich in 1972.
