We shall see what he does in Paris 2020 European Athletic Championships.
PARIS (FRA): World 400m hurdles champion Karsten Warholm has confirmed his ambition to double up at this year’s European Athletics Championships in Paris. The Norwegian won his specialist event at the last edition in Berlin. In those championships, he finished eighth on the flat, but the man with a PB of 44.87 will hope to challenge for a medal. The organisers have amended the timetable especially, but he would nevertheless need to run six races in four days in order to successfully double. “I love challenges and double in Paris will be a tough one,” said Warholm. “I like running in Paris, the new track is very nice. The stadium is always packed with a crowd giving athletes good vibes. Back from Tokyo, Paris is a perfect place for these European Championships. I am really looking forward to it. The interest for track and field in Norway is huge these days, with many athletes performing very well. Many Norwegian fans will come to support us, I will feel like home.”
