Sandi Morris is on a roll, a 4.91m in Millrose, and a 4.90m at 2020 USATF Indoor Champs. She is now in Lieven, for a the WIT Lieven meeting on 19 Feb.
LIEVIN (FRA): World leader Sandi Morris looks forward to another top competition here also in women pole vault. The stadium offers two pits, the one closer to main tribune will be staging men´s competition. “I’ve started off the indoor season very strong and I’ve surprised myself – jumping 4.90 in two meets in a row,” she said. “I was very surprised by that and happy with it. I am just enjoying pole vaulting, having fun. I’ve jumped higher when I made an emotional connection with the crowd because for me it’s about that personal relationship with the people who are there watching me, cheering for me or whoever, because quite frankly we wouldn’t be able to do this if it weren’t for the crowd, for the people who have bought the tickets.”
